Terms of Use

1. Who we are and what this document is

The Service checks uploaded texts for borrowed material, for signs of AI-generated writing, and for logical and factual inconsistencies. Who exactly carries these obligations is stated in “Who is bound by this” at the end of this page.

This document applies together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, which form part of it. The date of the version in force is printed under the heading.

2. What you actually get

You order one or more of three independent checks for one work. Each is bought, run and delivered separately, and each has its own price.

• Plagiarism check: a search for word-for-word matches, reworded passages and paraphrase across open sources, with a list of sources and highlighting inside the text of the work itself.
• AI-signals check: a probabilistic estimate that the text was generated, with a confidence interval and a fragment-by-fragment breakdown.
• Logic and factual accuracy: bibliography entries checked against open catalogs, internal contradictions surfaced, and arithmetic recomputed.
• The result of each check is a report in the browser, which you can open to others through a link you create yourself. The plagiarism report is additionally issued as a PDF and carries a verification code, so whoever you send the file to can check its figures; the AI and logic checks have no PDF and no code.

3. What the Service does not do and does not guarantee

All three checks produce an estimate of probability. A report is not evidence and does not establish that anything was copied or generated: the decision about a work is made by the person assessing it.

• We do not guarantee that our figures will match any university system (Unicheck, StrikePlagiarism or others): they use different databases, different methods and a different unit of measurement. Our percentage is counted over characters of text.
• We do not guarantee that the search is exhaustive. We check open sources available at the time of the check; closed university repositories, paid databases and pages we could not load stay outside it.
• The AI estimate produces false positives — on bureaucratic phrasing, boilerplate methodology sections and texts by non-native speakers. It is not grounds for an accusation.
• A source marked “could not confirm” is not thereby invented: Ukrainian books, standards and older articles are frequently absent from international catalogs.
• We do not guarantee any particular percentage, any grade, passing any external check, or any other outcome that does not depend on us.

4. Check depth and partial results

A plagiarism check can stop early for two different reasons: the search allowance sized from this particular work has run out, or technical limits on our side have been reached. In both cases the work is marked “paused” and the report is issued for the part that was checked — stating the depth reached and carrying a wider confidence interval.

A partial report caused by this work’s own allowance is a delivered result, not a failure. Where limits on our side stopped the check, that is our problem and the money is returned under the Refund Policy. Neither case resumes by itself; continuing is arranged through support.

A work in the “paused” state does not accept new orders for its other checks. To run them, contact support or upload the work again.

5. Your account

• An account with a confirmed email address is required. You are responsible for keeping your password safe and for everything done under your account.
• The details you give must be truthful. We may refuse to serve an account created with somebody else’s details.
• You may delete your account in settings. The owner of an organisation must first hand it over to somebody else or close it — until then a deletion request is not accepted. What deletion does is described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Your rights in the work you upload

• By uploading a file you confirm that you have the right to check this work: you are its author, or you assess it in your professional capacity, or you have the author’s consent.
• The text remains yours. We receive only the permission without which the check cannot happen: to process the text, to send fragments of it to the processors listed in the Privacy Policy, and to show you the result.
• We do not add your work to the source database we search other people’s work against. Your text never becomes a source for anyone.

7. Prohibited use

The Service exists for academic integrity. We do not write, rewrite or “raise the uniqueness” of anybody’s work, and we do not help anyone evade any check.

• You may not use a report to rework a text in order to evade plagiarism-detection systems or AI-text detectors.
• You may not check other people’s work without the right to do so, and you may not upload material whose distribution is restricted by law.
• You may not send automated bulk requests outside the API we provide, attempt to circumvent limits or payment, or resell access without our written consent.
• Breaking these rules entitles us to suspend or close the account. Checks paid for but not yet performed at that moment are refunded under the Refund Policy.

8. Price and payment

Checks are sold individually. This is a one-off payment for a specific check of a specific work, not a subscription: nothing is charged again and nothing renews automatically.

• The price depends on the length of the work and on which checks you choose, and is shown in full before payment. Approximate figures by length are on the pricing page.
• The price becomes binding at the moment you confirm your selection of checks. Until then it is recalculated at the current rate and current settings, so it may change between the moment you see it and the moment you confirm.
• The currency follows your region and can be changed with the switcher. For a given work, the currency is fixed by the first confirmed selection.
• Prices are shown exclusive of tax. Value added tax or sales tax, where it applies in your country, is calculated and shown by the payment provider before you confirm the payment.
• The plagiarism check is always paid for. The AI and logic checks may run free of charge within the monthly number of works and the length threshold stated on the pricing page; once those are used up the check is not blocked — it simply becomes payable at the usual price.
• Funds on the account balance are spent inside the Service only: they cannot be withdrawn and are not converted between currencies.
• An unpaid order is cancelled automatically after seven days and the selected checks are released.

9. Who sells to you

Payment may be taken through a provider acting as Merchant of Record. In that case the purchase contract is between you and that provider: they take the payment, issue the receipt, collect and remit the applicable taxes, and handle customer service enquiries and returns. We remain the supplier and licensor of the Service. Such a provider is named in “Who is bound by this” at the end of this page; if none is named there, we take the payment ourselves. By ordering through a provider you also accept their buyer terms.

10. When the service counts as supplied

By confirming your selection and paying for it, you expressly request that performance begin immediately, without waiting for any withdrawal period to expire, and you acknowledge that once a check has been fully performed the right to withdraw from it is lost.

A check counts as supplied at the moment its report becomes available in your account. A check stopped by an exhausted search budget counts as supplied to the extent of the report issued.

Mandatory consumer rights under the law of your place of residence apply in full regardless of this clause. How refunds work is set out in the Refund Policy.

11. Identical files and repeat checks

• A report is stored against the content of the text. If you upload a work whose text has been checked before, the result is served from the existing report — faster and without a new search, but at the usual price.
• Each person sees the highlighting in their own file and their own details about the work; what is shared is the list of sources found and the figures.
• We may limit repeated uploads of near-identical versions of one work within a day.

12. Corrections to reports

Automated checking makes mistakes, so we reserve the right to correct a plainly wrong finding — to withdraw a false positive or adjust a verdict — after a support request or on our own review.

A correction is stored against the content of the text, so it applies to every report for that same text, and the report’s figures are recomputed afterwards. A correction is not in itself grounds for a refund.

13. Availability and changes

• The Service is provided “as is”. We do not promise uninterrupted operation: planned and unplanned downtime, queues under load and delays on the side of external data providers all happen.
• The time a check takes is an estimate, not an undertaking. It depends on the length of the work, the queue and the availability of external sources.
• We may change what the checks do and how they behave, and we may change prices. A price change does not affect orders already confirmed.
• We may change these Terms. A new version takes effect from the date printed under the heading; if you do not agree with it, stop using the Service and delete your account.

14. Liability

• We are responsible for supplying the service, not for decisions taken on the strength of a report. Grading, disciplinary conclusions and any academic consequences are outside our control.
• Our total liability for a given check is limited to the amount you paid for it.
• We are not responsible for external sources and catalogs being unavailable, for gaps in open data, or for a source not existing in machine-readable form at all.
• None of these limits narrows your own responsibility as a user, and none of them removes mandatory consumer rights under the law.

15. Personal data

A work you upload may contain personal data — yours or other people’s. What we do with it, who we send it to and how long we keep it is set out in the Privacy Policy. By ordering a check you confirm that you are entitled to hand us that text for processing.

16. Law, disputes and language

• These Terms are governed by the law of Ukraine. If you are a consumer, the mandatory rules of the law of your country of residence apply notwithstanding this clause.
• We ask that disputes be attempted in correspondence first: most of them turn out to be a misunderstanding about what a report actually shows.
• This document is maintained in Ukrainian and English. The Ukrainian version is the original: in case of any discrepancy, it prevails.
